Come to Hamburg

Welcome to our “Come to Hamburg” blog! If you made it here, you have probably already heard of the “Come to Hamburg” project. But even if you haven’t, the information below will help fill you in.

What the project is about

Hamburg is actually the first city worldwide to provide bloggers, YouTubers, and online journalists from the USA, UK, Sweden, Norway, and the Netherlands with hotel rooms free of charge during their visit to the city. This has all been made possible thanks to the “Come to Hamburg” pilot project, set up by the city’s finest and most renowned hotels. They have joined forces to establish the mutual campaign “Promotionpool der Hamburger Hotellerie e.V.”, a campaign guided and aided by Gute Leude Fabrik GmbH & Co. KG.

The aim of the project is to promote the metropolitan region of Hamburg on the international stage, to strengthen tourism and to reveal the myriad of faces of this dynamic, sparkling and wonderful city. Hamburg is a very modern and young city but it is also a city steeped in tradition. With the help of this blog and the project we are looking to present Hamburg as a city of stunning highlights, with a whole host of reasons why bloggers, YouTubers and online journalists should come and visit. Hamburg is always worth writing about and that’s why we hope as many international travel bloggers, YouTubers and online journalists as possible will come and spend a few days in Hamburg and that they will share their experience and adventures with their communities.

Our blog is pursuing two key objectives

On the one hand we are wanting to keep you updated on what’s hot in Hamburg: where to go, what to see, and about the places to be. Our authors live in and love Hamburg. Through their eyes you’ll get a unique view of this fascinating city. Hamburg is so multifaceted and we want to make it visible.
You’ll not only find tips on culinary delights, bars, hotels, shopping areas, sights, events, parties, festivals and art exhibitions, you’ll also find a variety of free places to go and stuff to do. You’ll also be able to read reports and short interviews with Hamburg’s celebrities and personalities.

On the other hand you will find information on how to apply to get involved in the project and be one of the lucky ones to stay two nights for free in one of Hamburg’s coolest, chicest or finest hotels. If you want to know more about it check out our “How To” section here on our website.
